1. Standby and common use

Standby diesel generator sets refer to sets that are basically normal in the city power supply and are only used for temporary power generation when there is an occasional power outage. The frequency of use is not high, the use time is short, the mechanical loss is low, and the failure rate is low. In this case, there is no need to blindly pursue sets configured with high-end imported diesel engines. Sets configured with domestic diesel engines can fully meet the use. There is no need to consider too much about indicators such as fuel consumption, noise, failure rate, and overhaul time.

Common diesel generator sets refer to diesel generator sets used as the main power source when there is no city power. The use time is long, the mechanical loss is high, and the failure rate is high. In this case, the minimum configuration is recommended to be a joint venture brand diesel engine, and it is difficult for domestic diesel engines to meet the requirements.

2. Standby power and common power

Standby power refers to the operating power of the unit under overload conditions, which is generally 110% of the main power.

Common power refers to the continuous operation power of the generator set for 12 hours, that is, 400KW.

3. Power selection of diesel generator sets

The capacity of diesel generator sets is limited. Unlike the power grid, the starting current of the load must be taken into account. Therefore, it is not entirely correct to select the total power of the electrical appliance as the power for purchasing a diesel generator set.

The starting current will be different if the starting method is different. For example, the soft starter will only generate 2 to 3 times the starting current, and the inverter start is stepless start without starting impact current. Whether the electrical appliance is loaded when starting also determines the size of the starting current. It is necessary to fully understand the specific electrical conditions in order to more economically calculate the required diesel generator power, and avoid the situation where the calculation error is not available after purchase. 4. Failure rate and overhaul time

In terms of failure rate and overhaul time, domestic diesel engines cannot be compared with joint ventures or imported brands, but domestic unit parts are cheap. Without calculating the loss of production and shutdown caused by failure, the two are almost the same in terms of economic maintenance. 5. Fuel consumption

Another indicator that needs to be paid attention to in common diesel generator sets is fuel consumption. 6. Noise

The national standard for diesel generator noise is less than 102 decibels at 7 meters in an open space.
